Functional-focused Hypno-psychotherapy (FFH-P) is the combination of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy tools.  It focuses on the functionality of the client, helping to restore the client from any neuroses (depression, anxiety, breaking habits, chronic stress, pain management etc) that they may be experiencing. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is utilised (CBT), among a whole raft of other pyschotherapies, and enhanced by the process of hypnosis, enabling long lasting change. 

The therapy is person centred and solution focused, and via a path of self-healing, the client is responsible for their own management in a supported environment.  FFH-P is flexible in its approach, and tailored to the needs of the client.  The therapist is able to find tools to fit the client, rather than trying to fit the client to the tools. 

As the entire process is enhanced by trancework, FFH-P has a whole-brain, mind-body focus, and addresses any unconscious sabotage, amnesia, patterning, blocks, limitations etc that the client may not be able to consciously resolve or overcome.  By programming the subconscious mind with benevolent suggestion, the client is more readily able to use mindfulness to control responses to events that had previously felt beyond their scope of control. 

The process is evidence based, and qualitative experiences are measured via testing so quantitative gains may be easily recognised by the client and therapist.

GP Mental Health Treatment Plan and NDIS referral welcomed. Unfortunately, as counsellors / psychotherapists / hypnotherapists are not included in the Medicare rebate scheme, the client will be out of pocket for these sessions. 

However, reduced rates are available to MHTP referrals, those on concession and pension cards, and health fund rebates may be available to those with participating providers.  Please enquire.

On referral, the client can be provided with a range of evidenced-based strategies approved for use by allied mental health professionals utilising the usual Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) in brief therapy (5-12 sessions) for Anxiety and Depressive mood disorders, PTSD etc

These are:

  • Psycho-education (including motivational interviewing)

  • Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) including: behavioural interventions; behaviour modification; exposure techniques; activity scheduling; cognitive interventions

  • Relaxation / Hypnotherapy:  progressive muscle relaxation; controlled breathing

  • Skills Training:  problem solving skills and training; anger management; social skills training; communication training; stress management

  • Interpersonal Therapy (especially for depression


Audio recordings for GPs and Health Care Professionals are also available on request to administer to their patients/clients.  These include; deep relaxation, mindfulness practice, ego-strengthening, sleeping patterns and others.

Trial a Listening Session with the following Hypno-meditation. 

This track is available for purchase from the Shop, or to stream along with the entire library available in the Hypno-Hub subscription.

Please listen at least once daily.  Upon waking or before sleeping is generally best, as we are close to or easily access the theta trance state at these times.  You may listen multiple times a day.  After listening consciously to the track at least 5 times, you may then turn the track down in the background - just loud enough for you to hear and tune in if you need to, but you don't have to.  This is an extremely effective way of 'netting' time if you are time pressured.

CAUTION - DO NOT listen to this track when you are required to concentrate on tasks, and be present in any activity.  Do not drive a car, operate heavy machinery, or engage in any other tasks that require you to be alert.
These tracks are prescription hypno-meditations, and you will be able to access trance readily and easily the more you listen.  

Optimal listening is 90 times (daily for 3 months), and can be ongoing after that if required, or sporadic as deemed necessary.  Brain re-wiring may be observed via EEG after as little as 15 listens.
